The Dancing Plague Remix Competition

Reading Time: < 1 minute

Our blog contributor Carmine Basilicata is a 20-year old Italian-Swiss born bass music producer known as I am Sid.

He just released his new EP “The Dancing Plague” on July 2nd, made with the support of a crowdfunding campaign that raised 500€; it includes four new tracks and has been premiered by DJ Mag, as well as featured on music websites Run The Trap, ThisSongSlaps, and Noiseporn just to name a few.

Through dark atmospheres, distorted bass and variable BPM, I am Sid wanted to recreate the ambiance of the Dancing Plague, a strange and mysterious event that happened several times in history, which reached its maximum spread in Strasbourg, in 1518.

After the official music video filmed in California, with the fire and flow performance artist Emma Elevated, Carmine started a remix competition sponsored by us at Nightenjin. There will be three winners and the deadline for submissions is August 25th.
