We’re wrapping up the decade with an extra special 2019 year-end mix of Nightenjin Radio mixed from our day one’s Bush League. We wanted to take a second and reflect on the amazing year we had, we’re coming off our biggest release of the year with the Pit Crew V1 Compilation and a fresh new merch drop for winter 2019. We wanted to thank everyone who downloaded or streamed all the music releases and everyone who copped our merch throughout 2019. We also wanted to thank Colin Thomas for hosting the radio show and having a fantastic year respectively.

We’re off to the races with the arrival of Nightenjin’s inaugural Pit Crew V1 Compilation. From start to the finish line, this remarkably diverse collection goes full throttle, offering six brand new selects built for the night. With three tracks on the bass side and three on the house side, there’s something for everyone to get down to.

First up, returning artist Lizzy Jane drops “My Heart,” leading the pack with the heaviest of bass. Lizzy finds a stride all her own with sonic precision and overall execution. This heart is a relentless one with much imagination and hybrid flair.

Flozone’s “Back” is every bass lover’s dream. It’s hype level 1,000 with massive, buzzing growls and gritty layers in the mid-to-low range to keep the headbangers more than satisfied. Lengthy double-drops mean more bass in your face.

Indvstry turns it up a notch with perhaps the most energetic production on the compilation. Quick hits and dirty stabs go off in untamed formation, with a wild rhythm that feels instinctual. “Legit” packs the bounce and therefore the dance floor.

Switching gears to the house side, the “Night Is Young” and KillWill knows it. Cut this magnetic track open and it would bleed Nightenjin vibes, with a bumping bassline and big club energy. The production is mysterious, unexpected and your latest obsession.

Galo plays with vocal sampling and acid synths for a deep, dark result as heard with “Whack.” Punctuated notes guide the production forward through a winding, underground maze whilst nostalgic dance plucks add familiarity to the track.

Finally, the label’s mainstay duo, Bush League take it home with their ultra swaggy “Gucci Fit.” This masterful, four on the floor groove is highly addictive with its low, driving bass, catchy lyrics and expert use of signature tech-house elements.

Windsor’s wildest and biggest boat party of the summer is back with the 4th annual Holy Boat! happening on Labour Day Weekend 2019.

The boat party on the Detroit River is a dance music event curated by Nightenjin for the past four years featyring various local and international artists. The event was created to bring a whole new experience to the Windsor/Detroit music community.

This year’s Holy Boat is making a massive splash on Sunday, Septmeber 1st with a line up that will keep moving all night long. The line up includes Bush League and an all back to back sets from Kar Pow B2B Havek, Kacper Kawala B2B Rollclub, DJ SCHOLAR B2B DJ Evolution, Hush B2B Chocolate Milk and N8 B2B Matt Cantagallo.

Bush League said they couldn’t be more excited to show the Windsor/Detroit community their new sound going forward.

Ever heard of the phrase “No genres” or “What’s a genre?”. Well, with Nightenjin Records, our vision is to be a no genre label that will dabble in a little bit of everything and not just a specific sound. With the intent to cover various aspects of dance music with music that we find unique or brings something different to the scene and which will also give artists a new platform to release music on. Similar to labels such as: OWSLA, Mad Decent or Monstercat.

As the Nightenjin brand continues to grow, we are proud to announce the launch of our own record label with the first official record release that is scheduled to premiere on September 19th with a Tech House track titled “So Extra” by our good friends over at Bush League.

If you’re a producer, we are always looking for unreleased music to feature that stands out and best represents Nightenjin.
